my finally finished bag

I started this bag about 4 months ago and FINALLY finished it! You know how that goes; start a new project, all fired up raring to go. You get started, then some things don't go quite the way you planned, you're unsure of how to take the next step. Then another really cool project comes to mind, and the other project disappears into the UFO pile. Where it languishes.

I don't know what inspired me to pick it up again, but I did. And somehow the things I was unsure of fell into place and I love the result. I used mostly vintage fabrics and buttons, some new pompom trim, and new fabric for the lining.

Now I want to start something in fall colors; oh dear...

The details are lovely! Very pretty. I tend to be more inclined to forget to buy an essential tool or material so when I realise this I have to stop everything, browse for what I need, more often then not order it online (or go out and get it or despair as it can't be found so have to seek out another solution) wait for ages for it to be delivered, make sure I'm in to get it or go to the post office the next day to collect it, unpack it all, make sure it's right and THEN (only then) actually find another three minutes of free time to finish whatever it is. By this point it's three years later, ive moved house, lost bits, had another baby etc. So I empathise on the unfinished-ness ha ha ha.
